Rehabilitation & Treatment for Special Physical Conditions

Physical Therapy or Rehabilitation is a science dedicated to the treatment of health and function through means other than medications and surgery.  At CorpoSchema, our focus is the treatment of all the systems of the body, as well as movement/alignment retraining and individualized exercise prescription. We care for patients of every diagnosis, but have a “special” focus on people who have not yet been able to control or resolve their pain or problem.

We believe that our Pilates-based physical therapy sessions can make a great contribution to the quality of your life when handling injuries, postural problems, disorders of bone, muscle or joints, or the general aches and pains often experienced with aging.

Our Rehab for Special Conditions Program using Pilates places emphasis on the precision and quality of your movements, improving your mental and physical well-being while teaching body and breath awareness.  It can help:

Relieve pain from recent or old back injuries, including herniated discs, compression fractures or back strains.

Alleviate chronic headaches accompanied by other problems such as neck stiffness and lack of sleep.

Address body changes that result from osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, pregnancy, or after undergoing gastric bypass surgery or plastic surgery.

Manage the stresses and strains placed on the body from professional dancing, sports or leisure activities.

When addressing any of these conditions, we look at aiding the body’s natural healing mechanisms, using selective Pilates exercise, manual therapy, and raising postural awareness.  We are convinced that Pilates exercise prescription along with body mechanics training cannot be "generic."  It needs to be personalized to you, and your specific requirements.

While exercise is essential, it cannot free up soft tissues in your body nor will it alter the nutrients and minerals in your system.  Thus, in addition to retraining your muscles and your functions using Pilates exercises, the physical therapist will employ manual therapy to treat your joints, fascia, nerves, dura, viscera, lymphatic system and muscles.

Paying for Services…

Private Pay Only

Payment is expected at the time of service and we don't bill health insurances.  Current fee is $120 for an hour initial evaluation and $120/hour during a session. Sessions are 2 hours long at a frequency of once per week in most cases, with the exception of children under the age of 10 who receive 1 hour long sessions.  Of course, both the frequency and duration of sessions can be adjusted based on the individual case. We don't sell packages; you pay per session as you go.

 48 Hour Cancellations

Cancellations of treatments are required 48 hours in advance; anything less will result in a "late cancellation fee" for any given reason.

Late Policy "20 min"

Being late by more than 20 min will require you to either reschedule or wait for the next available appointment after a cancellation fee is applied.  We do not allow appointment overlap because this undeservedly compromises the care of another person.
